Our Services

MPOWERMENT M-Group Services
This community-level intervention is for young gay and bisexual men of diverse backgrounds. It mobilizes men to reduce sexual risk-taking, encourages regular HIV testing, builds positive social connections, and supports peers to have safer sex.

Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services (CRCS)
CRCS is a client-centered HIV prevention activity that was originally conceived as a combination of HIV risk reduction counseling and case management focusing primarily on substance abuse treatment, housing stabilization, and mental health services for persons at high risk of acquiring or transmitting HIV.

HIV Counseling, Testing, and Referral (CTR)
Confidential HIV Testing to individuals is available on an outsource/referral basis to the local Health Department Clinics and other Community-Based Organizations.

Mallory Mahr Empowerment Center for Youth
The Mallorie Mahr Empowerment Center for Youth (MMEC) provides a smoke-free environment that promotes abstinence from all tobacco and alcohol products. In collaboration with the local health department and other medical care facilities, the Center also offers HIV testing, substance abuse and mental health components designed to reach youth at high risk for HIV/STD infections. The MMEC is governed by the Empowerment Project which institutes a young African American MSM advisory board known as the “House Board”. The House Board assistance with program design, implementation, and evaluation. The Center is a safe haven for all youth ages 13 – 24 and is designed to address the challenges of the most vulnerable populations in the bi-state region. The Center is located at 1405 State Street, East St. Louis, Illinois 62205.

WESL TV-984
The Charter affiliate of the East St. Louis Public Access broadcast system (WESL TV-984) is an outlet for community self-expression and augmenting the public’s choice of programs and types of services. WPT is the managing body for the station and facilitates the programming, production of the cablecasting content.
